Healing Body, Mind, Soul and Spirit

Welcome

Our world is ever changing.  Many times these changes bring with them stressors with which we are barely prepared to deal.  Be it financial, family, career, parenting, stress can begin to deteriorate every aspect of our lives.  At Integrated Counseling Soutions we have the knowledge and experience to help you and your loved ones succesfully navigate lifes many obstacles.

Many counseling offices profess to work holistically with their clients.  The terms body, mind, soul are currently the catch words of the industry.  We don't use them as catch phrases.  They serve as the foundation for our entire clinical approach.  We have built them into the very nature of our practice.   They form the foundation for the very therapy we provide.

Mental Illness is the number one cause of disability in the United States today.  Mental Illness is the third most costly medical condition in America, behind heart disease and lung disease.  This year it is estimated that mental illness will cost American households over $200 billion in lost earnings alone.

In the workplace, untreated psychological problems account for over 61% of all absences annually.  More signficantly, 85% of all employee terminations and 90% of workplace accidents are a result of psychological issues.  Nationwide, it is estimated that businesses lose $116.6 billion a year due to substance abuse while untreated mental illness accounts for $205 billion annually.

The financial cost, though staggering, is small compared to the human cost; families destroyed by substance abue, children neglected or abused due to untreated mental illness.  At Integrated Counseling Solutions, LLC we believe we have a solution that will not only help individual cope with the daily stressors of life, but will foster healthy families, businesses, and communities.

The Integrated Approach

Every event we experience in our lives, positive or negative, impacts us all on some level.  For some people both positive and negative experiences manifest themselves in physical symptoms.  Chest pains, heart burn, headaches, insomnia, are only a few examples of ways psychological stress can present it self as physical ailment.

For some it is the mind that becomes unclear, unfocused or unorganized.  Simple tasks begin to feel impossible.  Things that where once easy to remember are now frequently forgotten.  We are unable to remain focused on the tasks at hand and it is beginning to effect our work and our relationships.

For still others it is their emotional instability that brings them into treatment.  They are frequently tearful, depressed, angry or maybe they are ravaged by a persistant feeling of guilt or shame.  These persistant negative emotions can lead to substance abuse as well as thoughts of self-injury or suicide.

Nearly all who experience psychological distress experience a feeling of distance or seperation from the world around them.  What they are experiencing certainly impacts all of their interpersonal relationships.

At Integrated Counseling Solutions we believe that each aspect of human experience is impacted by psychological distress.  We believe that therapy involves treating the whole person and assisting that person to readjust back into the world around them with a firmer foundation and closer, more meaningful and intimate relationships.
